Momentum Solar is a New Jersey based solar energy installation company, providing custom builds for home solar systems.
I was given the task of creating promotional videos for use on Youtube, Instagram, and other social video platforms highlighting the cost benefits of solar installation through character-driven home vignettes.
Inspired by the form and hue of solar panels, I set the characters in a stark and abstract world of folding solar panels. An energy meter, additional appliances, and spark effects were added to clarify the theme of energy use in day-to-day home life.
Character designs were sourced from Envato Elements, broken into layers, rigged, and animated using DUIK Bassel
Panels were hand-animated using 3D nulls in a parent heirarchy chain
An effect stack composed of Tritone, Posterize, HSV Noise, and Matte Choker gave the panels a grainy gradient effect that could be scaled across the rest of the project
