The Plunge is a wedding blog & resource catered specifically to grooms. Among their columns is "Plunge Proposals", a section that aggregates unique proposal stories to serve as examples or inspiration to prospective grooms looking to plan a proposal.
I was tasked with adopting The Plunge's typemark logo for Plunge Proposals, with the goal of capturing the feeling of celebration & festivity in a successful proposal.
Simulating a balloon with cloth physics began with creating high-poly geometry from the brand font, Calibre
Using Cinema 4D's Dress Mode, the edges are defined as seams, and the cloth system pulls the faces together
The edge is extruded and shrunk to create the flat profile of a mylar seam, and the process is repeated for each glyph
