In 2022, Figs launched PIPS, customizable buttons for a scrub cap that relieve strain & discomfort from long shifts in a mask.

With the prompt "Larger than life PIPS", I modeled, textured, animated, and composited PIPS into urban & hospital scenes, injecting childlike wonder into the sterile & fluorescent medical world.

Final output included detail renders, teaser video, and product hero video.

Stock footage was collected from Unplash, Shutterstock, and Pexels and 3D tracked in After Effects

Tracking data was brought into Cinema 4D and the PIPS were animated to float and bounce through the scenery. Scene lighting was realistically simulated through HDRs, area lights and shadow catchers

After a 3D pass, the renders were brought back into After Effects where they were masked & color graded for accuracy & realism

Let's work together
